This Volume Shape Game is a great intro to learning about volume. Try to find all the answers! I loved playing this so imagine how sad I was to discover that there were only four questions. At least they were four great questions.
I think quite a few people will enjoy this actvity. MINECRAFT Volume of Rectangular Prisms from xpmath.com. Master this and you will certainly have a good understanding of the volume of cubes and cuboids.
I love puzzles so it’s no surprise that I enjoy playing Hidden Cubes. In this game we need to visualise the cubes we can’t see - we mustn’t forget them!
The above activity is a simple way to become more confident calculating the volume of cubes and cuboids.
Time to get building some shapes. Can you work out how to build them perfectly?
Top tips (based on my errors):
use the rotate tool to fill in gaps that you can't seem to click on
use the layers tool to show you how to build it step-by-step if you can't seem to see what is needed
If you find this really easy, please understand that not all mousematician brains work the same way and some will find this more challenging than others! If you find it challenging, that's ok - practising will help make it easier.
